the death of ivan illich
i learned yesterday that ivan illich had died on 2 december 2002, aged 76 and i heard him speak for the first time today here
'tools for conviviality' is part of my entry at the fivebooksblog
he worked in ten languages and i would have almost needed subtitles to understand him speaking english. i had hoped to have the grace to be in his presence just once before he died and i thank the gods for him and his work
